Tomorrow’s Texas primary, and elections across the nation, if proving nothing else, shows the candidates’ tendency to move away from shaking hands and kissing babies, in favor of online tactics to grab your vote.

Rick Perry, in addition to trying to lure Facebook to Austin, has adopted a popular tactic of Barack Obama’s presidential run, using of social media networks to win Tuesday's GOP primary. In fact, Perry has shunned any notion of using traditional campaign methods, yard signs, phone calls, ect... Going completely personal and virtual.

Facebook and Austin? Rick Perry Approved...

The state of Texas is offering Facebook Inc. $1.4 million from a business development fund to locate a new 200-employee sales and operations office in Austin. This comes on the heels of a recent announcement by Facebook, which has seen membership grow to more than 400 million worldwide, that a new data center will be opened in Oregon, employing 35 workers.The deal, announced Thursday by Gov. Rick Perry's office, asks the city of Austin to chip in $200,000 in development incentives to lure the Social Media giant.  Good idea?

Keith Olbermann, former ESPN Sportscenter anchor, current MSNBC commentator, and host of Coutdown with Keith Olbermann, has been challenged by the Dallas chapter of the Tea Party movement, to attend their 1st annual celebration/protest this Saturday, follwing his accusations of racial homogenization in the movement.  The Tea Party movement is a collection of grassroots, anti-tax dissidents, who following Olbermann's comments, seem all too willing to demonstrate their diversity, claiming it is greater than that of MSNBC.
