Foursquare Becomes More Mainstream

Foursquare, the Geolocation Social Media application/platform, whose logo (pictured above) features that dorky kid getting crazy with a purple foursquare ball, has been on somewhat of a tear lately (much to the dismay of Gowalla fans like myself).

Having recently inked deals with Harvard, possibly the reason they have a Douchebag badge, and the television network, Bravo, it would appear that there is no where to go but up. After recently announcing 1 million check-ins per week, Foursquare has now come to terms with Zagat, the restaurant rating service, and appears to have other deals in the works with HBO, The History Channel and others.
